Providing Professional Supervised

visitation in southern nh

Our team provides community based professional supervised
visitation services. Our core staff are comprised of
supervisors that
have decades of experience working in the field of child protection.

In response to area needs in NH, Family Matters, LLC was created to
help connect and support safe and healthy visitation between
children and their non-custodial parents.

We believe that children should maintain healthy, safe, consistent
connections with their parents even when the parents cannot
maintain a connection.

Family matters was derived from the simple importance of keeping
children connected and helping parents nurture and grow a safe
bond with their children that benefits the entire family. This may
coincide with concerns of divorce, neglect/abuse allegations, or an
inability for their parents to communicate and co-parent.

About Us

  • Provide safe, structured, community based supervised
    visitation.
  • Enhance parenting capacity through modeling and coaching
healthy behaviors by using our professional experience and
    education.
  • Provide neutral and clear written documentation to the court
    regarding our observations.
  • Assist in assessing the appropriateness of progressive visitation.

Things to do:

Things not to do:

Being prepared is half the battle when it comes to parenting! In preparing for your visit please consider the following: the weather, the age(s) of your child(ren), the time of day, what they like to do, things you can show or do with them such as games, art, exploring, reading have water handy, sunblock, extra clothes, diapers, wipes, snacks depending on the needs of your children. Is your visit during meal time, perhaps pack a picnic lunch/dinner, or be prepared to get a meal. keep your focus on your CHILD, what they are doing, what they like, what they are good at...what do they need both physically and emotionally from you! The other half is focusing on building your relationship with your child(ren): Set positive expectations for your visit keep your focus on your visit, set age appropriate limits, structure, and activities during your visits plan and share your ideas about what you are going to do with your child(ren) spend quality time with your child(ren) ensuring each child’s interests and needs are equally attended to remain nurturing, alert, and supportive validate their feelings and experiences without judgement and with a focus on moving forward in a positive manner HOLD them accountable for poor behavior or choices in a calm, learning, and supportive but appropriately corrective manners. Praise them when they do good things Show affection and love Understand that they have a bond with the (other) parent and it does not have to be at the expense of yours or vice versa. Be the bigger person, they didn’t ask for this
